What’s in My Teacher Bag: The Essentials I Can’t Live Without

whats-in-my-teacher-bag

Every teacher knows the struggle: your bag carries half your life, but by mid-morning, it feels like nothing is ever where it should be. Papers get buried, pens vanish, chargers disappear, and somehow, you’re always scrambling for that one thing you need in the moment.

I’ve learned that when my teacher bag is organized and stocked with the items I actually reach for, my day runs smoother. When it’s not, I feel it. So I’m sharing what’s in my teacher bag, the tools I use to keep it functional, and why these items are truly essentials for a kindergarten classroom.

The Bag That Works

If you haven’t already invested in a Bogg bag do yourself a favor and grab one!

I use a Bogg Bag. It’s sturdy, washable, and holds everything upright without slumping over. But the real difference is how I organize the inside.

Here are the accessories that make my bag functional every single day:

✔️ Clear Zipper Pouches– keeps items separated and easy to grab
✔️ Bogg Bag Organizer Insert – creates structure so smaller items don’t sink to the bottom
✔️ Bogg Tray Topper with Cup Holder – keeps my drink upright during transitions
✔️ Bogg Cup Holder Attachment – because one drink is never enough

What’s Inside the bag?

This isn’t the cute, color-coordinated teacher version. It’s the practical one. These are the things I actually use every day. The items I reach for without thinking because they make the day run better.

If it doesn’t make teaching easier, it doesn’t stay in the bag. Kindergarten moves fast. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it rarely goes exactly how you planned. So everything in here has a purpose. It helps me stay organized, handle the small emergencies, and keep the day moving without feeling frazzled. Nothing fancy. Just what works.

My Sticky Notes Folio: I love sticky notes it’s where all the little reminders live. If it’s not written down, it’s not happening.

Notebook from Carolina Pad: This is my catch all notebook where I organize my day into sectioned tabs. It keeps my brain from trying to hold everything at once.

Travel Pill Organizer:
This one might seem random, but it’s a lifesaver with all the vitamins I take. No more digging through bottles.

Tumbler from Sok It: I love this tumble cover! Cold coffee stays cold and that’s enough reason for me.

Paper Mate Flair Pens: My favorite pens since forever. They make even a to do list feel more fun.

Wallet with Keychain: You know that panic of searching for your keys? That doesn’t happen anymore with this wallet!

Extra Phone Charger: There is nothing worse than a dead phone at school. I always have an extra phone charge on me just in case.

Hand Cream from L’Occitane: The constant hand washing all day gets to me. This saves my hands.

Tide To Go Pen: I never go without a tide to go pen just in case. Kindergarten can be messy so as teachers we always need to be prepared.

Chapstick from Farmacy Beauty: I have easily purchased seven of these. It is my favorite and I keep one everywhere.

Hand Sanitizer from Touchland: These are trendy for a reason! I love the spray function and they come in a ton of different scents.

Perfume Roller in Gucci Flora: This is a splurge, but I love the smell and all you need is a little spritz! And, let’s be honest after teaching all day sometimes you need a quick refresh.

These are the absolute essentials that keep me going through a full day in the classroom! The items I rely on constantly, the little lifelines that I make sure never run low because without them, the day would feel a lot harder. You can find the entire list of all of my favorites here.
