Crafts with Cricut Directions:

One of my favorite homemade educational crafts with Cricut is making stickers. Kids love stickers and the possibilities are endless. I used my Explore Air 2 Cricut, Crayola crayons, and Cricut Sticker Sheets. Find images from Design Space that are black and white so kids can color their own stickers. I made a sticker for each letter on the alphabet, apple for a, balloon for b, car for c, and so on. Below are my step by step directions to make your own alphabet sticker crafts with Cricut.

STEP ONE:

Find the images you want to use for each letter of the alphabet and print them out on sticker paper. I used Cricut Sticker Paper. After printing it out, have your child color in the images. I made my stickers in random order. Kids could say the image, letter, or letter sounds as they color them to help build fluency.

STEP TWO:

After coloring the stickers, place them on your cutting board and place them back in the Cricut to cut. I made my images have a white background so they cut in squares and not around the actual images. Depending on the size of the images, it will make a difference in how many you can get on a sticker sheet.

STEP THREE:

After cutting out the stickers, kids will take them off and put them in alphabetical order. This also helps practice fine motor skills by peeling them off on their own. You can also have students practice saying the letter sounds as they place them down. After all the stickers are placed in the correct order, have your kid label the picture with the correct uppercase and lowercase letter.

Crafts with Cricut Extension

To extend this activity you can have your kid(s) sort consonants and vowels, find pictures for digraph, blends, short or long sound, numbers, and more! I also have another blog post on how to use a Cricut to make an interactive bulletin board, click here to read!
