Read the Room Decodable Sentence Activity – CVC Words, Sentences Worksheets

These are decodable sentences, perfect for kindergarten and first grade students, designed to give students guided, hands-on practice with phonics.

Print the 12 numbered sentence cards and display them around your classroom. Each student receives a corresponding worksheet and searches the room to find the sentence that matches each picture. When they find it, they color the matching image on their worksheet.

Why use Read the Room? It gives our students multiple opportunities to decode sentences while moving around the classroom. Students will practice reading independently, build confidence with phonics, and connect letters and sounds.
