Teach your kindergarten students about 12 different community helpers with this 5-day Community Helpers Unit! Students will learn about three community helpers each day, then on the 5th day they will think about which helper they might like to be one day!
This ready-to-use unit is perfect for teaching about these different people and the important role they play in our communities. Students follow along with slides for each helper, read/color a mini book, and complete crafts and worksheets! I have designed this flexible unit with more than you need to teach community helpers! Look over all the pieces and then choose the worksheets, crafts, and book options that fit your needs!

How to Use:
Follow the lesson plan for each day! Display the posters for that day’s helpers. Use the instructional slides to learn about the helper, what they do, and the different tools/equipment they need for their job! Students can then color the pages in their mini book and complete the daily worksheets, crafts, or coloring pages for that helper! You can decide which components you want to use and when! You could even extend the unit and do one helper each day with all of the crafts and activities.
The instructional slides are included as a non-editable PowerPoint file but can also be opened in Google Slides. The worksheets, posters, and other components are all included as a PDF.
